5-19-11 New Images

I’ve added many new images to my website dating back to Jan 1, 2011.

2011 Big Island Misc

The images cover a variety of subjects that are non active lava. We had a beautiful vog free winter here in the Kona area which allowed for great photo opportunities. Sunsets, sunrises, beaches, boat rides, storms, waves, waterfall, hikes etc…

Two new lava galleries added. Both only have a few images as little was going on.

1-07-11 Ki Lava Ocean Entry

This was a short-lived ocean entry and one of the last for who knows how long. The volcano has gone well over 10 years in the past without lava flowing into the ocean.

1-14-11 Halemaumau

Some shots of sunrise at the summit. Just a few as it always looks the same.

There are several images from the non lava gallery that have been added to my Fine Art non lava gallery. Be sure to check whats new.

The volcano is slowly filling Puu Oo vent again. Other than that not much is going on. I have my theories about what might happen next but, those I will keep to myself.

When and if your already in Hawaii, be sure to stop in at these fine establishments listed below to see my work in person. The metal prints are amazing. The truth in that would be almost every other photographer around here is now printing on metal too.  2 1/2 years of printing on metal with 100% customers satisfaction.

Trudy’s Island Arts – The Kona International Market

Krazy About Kona – The Kona Inn Shopping Village

Kona Mountain Coffee – Mauka of Pinetrees between Kailua Kona town and the airport

Plus two on Oahu –  Waikiki locations with Kona Mountain Coffee – Grand Waikikian and the Rainbow Store Waikiki

3-11-11 Tsunami

Lastly many images from our Tsunami in March. It was quite an event for our quiet little town and the western coast of the Big Island. I have a time lapsed video posted on my Facebook fan page. In it you will see the van left on the pier during the event. You will also see a person standing at its hood in between waves. All of the images shot during the Tsunami waves were shot from a very safe place just below Lowes. The aftermath shots were well after the last wave. We were having large tidal surges for the rest of the day. I had no interest in taking a chance by being down at the ocean for the Tsunami.

Enjoy my new images and be sure and comment either here or on images on my website or on my Facebook fan page.
